In astronomical terms, the Andromeda galaxy (M 31, pictured above) is the counterpart to the Orion Galaxy where the solar system that harbors the earth is located. These two galaxies are locked on a mutual gravitational axis and they are approaching each other, eventually to merge. M 31 is about one-third larger in size and mass than our galaxy, O 24. At a distance of 2.2 million light-years, Andromeda is the most-distant object visible to the naked eye from the earth.
Astronomical science today admits the existence of parallel worlds, but how can this idea be verified by direct experience? Andromedans on Yambuvika live in a state of perpetual mirroring, aware that their doubles exist in the setting of life on earth, but they are also poignantly aware that their terrestrial counterparts do not realize how they are mirrored.
Asuramaya is a name borrowed from the ancient terrestrial language of Sanskrit. Long ago, around 3100 BCE, that name belonged to a court astrologer who lived in India. This setting links Asuramaya to the Hindu legend of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, and to Kali Yuga, the period of cosmic timing that begins at Krishna’s death and concludes with large-scale extinction on earth after 2000 CE.
The counterpart on Yambuvika to the Hindu god Krishna is the Blue Prince, whose consort is the Belated Muse.
The Translations reveal how life on M 31 mirrors life on earth, and human experience may be magically transfigured through Andromedan eyes. Communication on Andromeda is erotic and telepathic. Dreaming and dancing with his three consorts, Asuramaya translates the experience of co-emergent worlds and demonstrates the physics of beauty operating through the law of apposition. The allusions and divinations of the estuary poet invite a visionary shift for earthbound doubles held in the tender gaze of their counterparts on M31. The sexual mythography unique to the human race, and fatefully so, is gradually disclosed in the commentaries for the Translations.
Chthonian, from the Greek chthon, means "of the earth." Andromedans are continually in reverie, recalling, reliving, and celebrating the Chthonian Romance. They understand that the first human inhabitants of the earth were exclusively female. One of their primordial forms has been preserved in mythology in the image of the dryad, the tree nymph or arboreal nymph. This image is not a construct of fantasy but an actual memory of how women appeared on earth in remote times, going back tens of millions of years.

The Chthonian Romance story is largely lost to earthbound humanity, but ancestral memory can be recovered through the poetics applied by the estuary bard. Still, most of the allusions from the Andromedan side will be obscure to human understanding, and so it falls upon the translator to provide comment and clarification, however tentative and incomplete, in the static form of background notes.
The commentaries attached to the Translations reveal an extremely strange and, one might say, outlandish account of human origins on earth. In the Andromedan version of the human adventure, the paramount disclosure is:
Women arose coevally with the formation of the planet earth from the Organic Light of Sophia, a divinity from the galactic center, but men came later, teleported on "acca" threads from the Orion nebula, M 42.
This bizarre scenario corrects a grave error in human imagination. It is widely asserted that "gods" descended from the sky in remote times. The Sumerian creation-myth Enuma Elish begins, "And kingship descended from heaven." Unable to remember their true origins, many humans believe that some kind of celestial dragons came from the sky and reigned over the native people, establishing what is called theocracy, government by the gods. These alien invaders have been identified with ETs and advanced races who could genetically modify the human species. Since the midpoint of the 20th century, more and more people around the world accept and endorse this scenario of extraterrestrial intervention.
But Andromedans see otherwise. In their mirroring view, it was not non-human aliens but the first men of the human species who descended to earth. The correction of the erroneous notion of the "descent of the gods" comes from "those aside." This is the cosmic wake-up call in the Andromedan version of the human adventure.
A stock image of "astral projection" (from www.magicandspellcraft.com) suggests how the Orion men teleported on delicate fibers like jumpers on bungee cords. Shamanic lore from around the world describes this feat in quite explicit detail. For instance, the last kings of Tibet, who were fully human, were said to have descended from heaven on elastic cords. When the cords broke, they became mortal, subject to death. Likewise, the shamans of China, Polynesia, Africa, and elsewhere were attributed with the ability to move through interstellar space trailed by such cords. In Polynesian lore, these filaments are to this day called acca-threads. (In some respects, Oceanic myth preserves elements of Andromedan lore more accurately and completely than other genres of world mythology.)
Here is a great unsolved riddle in the mythography of our planet:
How did it happen that the first men of the human species were located in the Orion Nebula and their female counterparts were on earth?
The answer lies in the ancient theme of "the separation of the sexes," discussed by Plato and many classical authors. Andromedans preserve in their folk memory a crucial episode of the origin myth known to ancient seers of the Mysteries, but later lost to humanity at large, due to the destruction of Pagan wisdom. In the Andromedan view, when Sophia plunged from the core of our galaxy, the torrential shear of her energies ripped the template of the Anthropos (human species) into two parts. One part became enmeshed with Sophia's energy and eventually woven into the terrestrial elements, for Sophia morphed into the earth. Thus the Gaian women, one half of the Anthropos, arose coevally with the natural world. The men who embodied the other half of the Anthropos were stranded in the Orion Nebula where the template for our species was deposited by a process of divine emanation from the Pleroma, the galactic center.
Seers trained in samadhi perceive the remnant of the Anthropos template arrayed like dew on a spiderweb in the rhomboid configuration of stars called the Trapezium, deposited deep in the Orion Nebula.
In the Chthonian Romance, Andromedans understand the cosmic poignancy of the human situation on earth: when the first men descended from Orion to hunt in the paradise of the Gaian women, neither men nor women recognized that they were two integral components of a single species. This failure of recognition is the origin of the gender split which Andromedans regard as the source of all later conflict on earth.
It follows, then, perhaps, that recovery of the Chthonian Romance might lead to revealing and healing that devastating primordial split.

Commentaries on the Translations have been amplified by snatches of conversation with Gaia, remote scanning of the Chomsky Circuits, mystico-ludic conversion of liminal keys, occasional research in the CMB (Cosmic Memory Bank, the Akashic register of terrestrial prehistory), and, when and where appropriate, tangential allusion to the GSM (Genetic Subliminal Memory) of the translator.
Classic and contemporary scholars—Erastothenes, Eliade, Barbara Walker, Wasson, Gimbutas et al.—have occasionally been cited, but due to the derivative nature of these materials their reliability cannot be assured by the translator.
